Kangana Ranaut and Aditi Rao Hydari sizzle at India Couture Weekâs Day 1

The India Couture Week kick-started yesterday in the capital with a bang. Like every year, Bollywood celebrities turned up as showstoppers for different designers and enthralled the audience. On Day one, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kangana Ranaut captivated the viewers with their charm. Aditi walked for Tarun Tahiliani in a soft pastel coloured Swarovski-embellished lehenga with a gossamer veil. Tarun opened the fashion week with his collection titled Elysium that celebrates the modern Indian goddess.

Kangana, on the other hand, walked for ace designer Anju Modi. The actress made sure she looked ravishing as Anju’s showstopper. Kangana’s lehenga was the perfect amalgamation of modern and sophisticated with a dash of Victorian vibe. The crème lehenga had a wine coloured Victorian style velvet jacket with cape sleeves.  Her hair was pushed back and had voluminous curls.  Anju’s collection, called A Maiden’s Prayer was inspired from the Victorian era with velvet, silk and brocade dominating the runway.
