Akshay Kumar Vidya Balan Sonakshi Sinha and more launch the trailer of Mission Mangal

The wait is finally over and the trailer of one of the most anticipated films – Mission Mangal was launched by its star cast. All set to hit the screens this Independence Day, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. The film narrates the inspiring story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), which was India’s first-ever interplanetary expedition.

Present at the trailer launch of the film, Akshay said, “I get inspired when a film like this happens in front of me. What a brilliant story this is, inspired by a real incident. Few people know NASA sent a satellite to Mars spending close to Rs. 6000 crore and ISRO did it in only Rs. 450 crore. Just see the difference. A little common sense and we saved a lot of money. Can you believe this story has not been told yet? I wanted to tell it and that’s why I came on board.”

Looking dapper were film’s male lead stars Akshay Kumar and Sharman Joshi who were joined by the leading ladies.
While Vidya looked stunning flaunting her all-black look, Taapsee Pannu opted for a full white look donning a pant-suit. Meanwhile, stealing the show was Sonakshi Sinha who made a gorgeous appearance in a peach floral sari with minimal jewellery. Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari too looked lovely in their ethnic avatars. The team was seen posing with the placards of their respective job roles.
