The duo has collaborated for the first time to tell a story which is important to be told and discussed in our society. Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and her struggle for justice. Deepika will essay the character which is based on Laxmi, while Vikrant plays her significant other. The trailer of the film released a few days back and has been received well by the audience.
