Dhak-Dhak girl, dancing queen, the real diva… Madhuri Dixit has many titles to her name. She’s one of the most celebrated actors in the industry and is considered an epitome of beauty, grace and elegance. Madhuri started her career with Abodh in 1984 and introduced Indian cinema to a new generation of heroines. She was the only actress who ever gave a tour competition to Sridevi, who had been ruling over the movies for a while. 

 

There was no turning back after that. Madhuri reigned as the leading lady through the ‘90s and gave every new actress a run for her money. She gradually acquired the status of the finest dancer in the industry and evolved as a true style icon, on and off the big screen. 

 

After Devdas, Madhuri took a five year sabbatical from the silver screen and returned in 2007 with Aaja Nachle. With the same grace and unmatched screen presence, Madhuri was back in business. She appeared in films like Dedh Ishqiya, Gulabi Gang and Kalank and proved that she’s still got what it takes. Not just that, she even became a style icon in the past few years with her impeccable nine yards and those gorgeous gajras and bindis.
