Alia Bhatt leaves for Bulgaria to resume shooting for Brahmastra

Alia Bhatt left for Bulgaria earlier today for the shoot of Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy adventure, Brahmastra. It is believed that Ranbir Kapoor will be flying down to Bulgaria tomorrow and will join her a day later in the East European country. This schedule won’t see the rest of the cast - Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna or Mouni Roy - joining the two leads. The couple will be there for the next 15 days shooting some high octane action sequences for the film. They have been training with Israeli fitness trainer and movement coach Ido Portal since January to prepare themselves for the sequences to be shot in this schedule.

A source close to the film revealed in an interview with a leading daily that Alia Bhatt has lost a lot of weight for this sequence and wants to remain in perfect shape for it. The source stated, “Brahmastra is the first film in Ayan’s fantasy-adventure trilogy and during the last schedule for the first instalment in Bulgaria all the pivotal action scenes will be shot.”

The source further added, “Ayan is aiming for a wrap-up by January.” Brahmastra is said to be a trilogy that will have a release every two years. The film is slated to release in the second half of 2019.
