Pictures: Raj Kundra returns home after being granted bail

Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra who was arrested on July 19, has finally been granted bail. Raj was arrested for the alleged production and distribution of pornographic content via certain apps. According to media reports, the businessman has been granted bail by a Mumbai court on the surety of INR 50,000. So far, Raj Kundra has spent almost two months in jail.

Moments after Raj was granted bail, his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty posted a quote on her Instagram Stories. "Rainbows exist to prove that beautiful things can happen after a bad storm," she wrote, quoting Chinese-American modernist architect Roger Lee. This could be, perhaps, alluding to her husband being granted bail. Raj and Shilpa have been married for over a decade now.

The Mumbai Police had filed an over 1400-page charge sheet against Raj Kundra and his associate, Ryan Thorpe, last week. In the charge sheet, Shilpa Shetty was quoted as saying that she was unaware of her husband's activities. “Kundra started Viaan Industries Limited in 2015 and I was one of the directors till 2020 when I resigned due to personal reasons. I am not aware of the Hotshots or Bollyfame apps. I was too busy with my own work and hence, not aware about what Kundra was up to,” she said.
