Diljit Dosanjh Taapsee Pannu Angad Bedi launch the trailer of Soorma

After a long wait, the trailer of Diljit Dosanjh starrer Soorma was released today. The film made on the life of the ace hockey player, Sandeep Singh, has the actor playing the lead. In the trailer, Diljit can be seen getting into the skin of Singh, who also falls in love with Taapsee Pannu.  Written and directed by Shaad Ali, Soorma will hit the screens onJuly 13.

To launch the trailer of the sports biopic, the film’s star cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu, Angad Bedi, Chitrangada Singh were present along with the man himself – Sandeep Singh. The film’s director, Shaad Ali, was joined by music composers Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy along with Gulzar at the event.

At the trailer launch, Diljit revealed that he has even sung a song in the film. He said, “When I work, I do not differentiate as a Punjabi film or Bollywood. I feel happy when I am praised on social media for my films. This film must be watched for Sandeep Singh and the inspiration that he is. It will not necessarily cater to people who have interest in sports but to everyone who has had their low phases in life.”
