Hichki celebrates 5-year anniversary: Letâs a take look at some moments from this Rani Mukerji film

Five years ago, on this day Rani Mukerji made her comeback after four years of hiatus as an aspiring teacher Naina Mathur who has Tourette syndrome.

Hichki is co-written and directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under the former's banner of Yash Raj Films.

The film is based on American motivational speaker Brad Cohen's autobiography Front of the Class and follows the journey of Naina Mathur who, due to her Tourette syndrome, was turned down by a number of schools until she was accepted to her alma mater, St. Notker's School. She is given the responsibility of teaching children from a local slum in class 9F, which was established by the Indian government to fulfil a quota for the underprivileged.
