Kahaani starring Vidya Balan celebrates the 11-year anniversary of its release

In 2012, Vidya Balan starred in Kahaani, as Vidya Bagchi and stunned the audience with her marvellous performance in this thriller film.

The film was co-written, co-produced and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Featuring themes like feminism and motherhood in a male-dominated Indian society, the film revolves around a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband Arnab Bagchi during the famous Durga Puja in Kolkata. She is assisted by Assistant Sub-Inspector Satyoki "Rana '' Sinha and Inspector General A. Khan.

Apart from Vidya Balan, the film also stars Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

At the 58th Filmfare Awards, Kahaani was nominated for six of their categories, where it won five, including Best Actress for Vidya and Best Director for Ghosh.
